Obino is a healthcare startup founded in 2013. It’s a health and fitness based application assisting with health and weight loss goals. The app features a dedicated health coach, custom made diet plans and a personal diary that keeps a track of daily needs.
Obino approached GDD for a complete overhaul of their branding as well as the IOS application. The goal of the ios application design was to improve the key tasks such as activity logging and communicating with health coaches. Branding for Obino would be done in a way that it’s values are well visible within the guidelines of the product.
A complete rebranding was required to enhance the visual language allieviating from the previous dull apearance.
The interface needed to be refined to be easily understandable and usable by the users.
Restructuring the site at a root level was required to focus on the buisness goals making it favourable for users.
An in depth analysis was carried out to understand the lifestyle and habits of the ideal user. Next step was to connect the user behaviour to the core functions of the application. The goal was to fit the product into the user’s lifestyle making it a 24x7 coaching experience.
We formulated a definite framework addressing issues by restructuring the workflows and streamlining the experience of the application. This involved putting all functions in a hierarchy and then prioritizing it in the information architecture.
Using the brand guideline to build a consistent color palette for the product. Constant back and forth was key in the realisation of the final design. High emphasis was laid on the wireframe phase so as to align the technical team and the business stakeholders.
Obino now has a great new impression on its users. From a fresh rebranding to a streamlined user flow, the application is now intuitive and easy to understand. With about a million users for it’s product, Obino has been rated as one of the top 7 health apps in the health and fitness space.
